In the midst of mass layoffs, Citi is more concerned with 'inclusive language' and trying to be like Google. Anyone else see that ridiculous CTI announcement banning words like whitelist, master contracts, etc. What a joke this place has become.

Wait, so they are now expecting CTI to become sensitivity readers?
@bfj+1pBh3bz4 We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
We're allowed to be POed about DEI comms when what we really need to know is more details about the layoffs. That comm felt like a bait n switch today.
HAHAH OMG I almost posted the same thing! Instead of getting the company wide comm about the re-org we got that DEI notification about inclusive language.
Master/slave is technical jargon FFS. If someone is so sensitive that they're offended by long established technical jargon, maybe they shouldn't be in IT.
This is how they are going to keep the IT people who are honestly not doing anything at the moment busy. Spend a month or so looking over old documentation in case it might offend.
Seriously??? That's what's bothering you in the middle of layoffs? face/palm
Its because we are d-mb and bring it upon ourselves as substantiated here:

How about blacklist? Blackball?
Agree!!!
They just don't care.
As they lay people off Citi will continue to move on. And that's the attitude us as the employees need to have. Move on, if impacted!
