Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

What is the WARN period for NY?

Given it may take few months to land a new job - does anyone know the exact WARN period for NY.. Maybe someone who was already let go and availing this benefit can shed some light.. Bracing for impact

NY WARN is 90 days and it's based on where you work, not where you live. They clarified / updated the reg in June this year to clearly state "[a]ll individuals employed at a single site of employment, including individuals
who work remotely but are based at the employment site, other than part-time
employees, are counted as employees for purposes of determining coverage
as an employer."

Below people will be absorbed by another MD team. And by Jan - if these people as in D and below aren’t needed, then will be on the January list. Guess some work still need to be executed …

My buddy got absorbed by a diff team … while the above got cut

This approach doesn’t seem logical. If MDs/Directors are dismissed first, who will then manage the execution of the layoffs?

NY WARN period is 90 days ( based on state you live, not where your office is btw). If this layoff qualifies like March layoffs did, For 90 days you are on the payroll, getting benefits, but not working/no access. After that you get severance, 2weeks per year of employment ( this is laid out in the employee handbook).

I thought during one of the last townhalls they said MDs and Directors will be Nov/Dec.

SVPs and below would be impacted in Jan/Q1

Let me know if you guys got the same info

if tomorrow is MD day - does it mean, the MDs who are retained are good and their anxiety period is over and next batch is Directors in couple weeks, SVPs, 2 weeks later etc.?

Warn is by state. So check out your state warn website.

I’m also eyeing tomorrow as the MD day.

Haven’t heard much but who knows …..

Its not that hard guys. Go to your browser of choice and type in “WARN act” + and read it for yourself.
Example: New York Warn Act

Just type that in and check it out for yourself.

60 days

I am hearing this round coming(maybe tomorrow) is more at the MD and maybe Director level. The masses are probably not going to get hit until January/February. MDs probably have nice parachutes and not sure about Directors.
This is all my guessing from articles and side conversations. I haven’t heard a peep out of leadership. The only non guess is the MDs having something nicer than our severance plans.
I really think it is happening tomorrow though.
