This is the whole point of IDM2.0, let others design and Intel manufactures them. At the end of the day someone needs to actually make the thing and no one wants a single supplier (TSMC).

Look like major companies running away from Intel when it is so sick

Every major cloud companies should design their own chips with the best possible process node to be able to compete in current market or future. Why do they have to depend on Intel to do it for them with inferior, unstable products?

@hmp+1pC4g2QI AI right now is the “least” of our worries… an area where we virtually have no presence… but data center CPUs based on x86, on the other hand, are the bread and butter of INTC!!! Who has more to lose??

AMD, given its recent AI vaporware run-up, has more to lose than INTC does. Just ask Lisa "me too" Su.

FUBAR!

Let’s see we got Amazon, Google, Meta, and now Microsoft all have huge multibillion spends on cloud compute.

Hey why throw billions at Intel and their inferior process and x86 architecture and pay over price when you can do it for less, customize it, and do it in a superior process for better PPA.

““Without strategy, execution is aimless. Without execution, strategy is useless.”

Intel is so fu€ked, IDM2.0 and IFS is so yesterday a strategy. They can execute and become technology leadership and it won’t matter when the strategy is so flawed.

FUBAR will most certainly lead to more losses and layoffs
