As others here said, thinking what you don't know can't hurt you is Not true. Employers will lay you off even if you're on vacation or sick leave. Then when you log in to the network or try to log in or go to the office, you'll suddenly find out you're unable to log in and/or your company badge no longer works. Employers are cold, callous, mean, cruel and evil. They only care about themselves, how low they can legally pay you in salary and health insurance, make as much money as they can out of clients and employees and blood svck as many seconds in waking hours of work they can get out of employees. There is No loyalty or compassion from Employers. Yet they expect fealty and loyalty to go in only one direction..... towards them from their slave employees. I've witnessed several coworkers who were out on medical leave due to cancer or other serious illness get laid-off while on medical leave, maternity etc. or while on vacation.

Take time as usual...there is nothing you can do if you continue to be employed with Citi.. The only thing- is to look for employment elsewhere.
This reorder is done sloppy and for a long into next March.
Could have done Reorganization in Leadership then execute like BAU with separations..Certainly has not been first time Citi has had a shakeup... Been with the firm since the internet bubble burst, Worldcom and Enron debacle and Pandit.. Only difference,.New CEO with New Ideas- hope (not really) she gets the outcome she's after

I don't know of many layoffs that happen on Fridays. Anyway, staying home or not logging in will not prevent it from happening

Even if you're on sick leave, vacation, etc. - that won't prevent them from letting you go. If you decide not to even check email, etc. then you might be informed the hard way when you decide to log on without access or go into the office and realize that your badge no longer works.

Same … just that anxiety for the next few months. Plus a lot of comapnies are on hold for hiring until prob February or so. So interview stress … work stress - just can’t get any better

More meetings cancelled. Total silence. Imagine everyday going to work until March 2024 not knowing if you may be fired that day.

It’s pretty quiet. No “news” about any groups yet

Why are you scared to go in? If you’re laid off, staying home doesn’t change anything.
