What is wrong with your company anyways? Why do you treat people so poorly?
Is it just me, or is there something seriously OFF with the culture there?
I would not invest $1,000 with Schwab, let alone consider working there.

So, smoke and mirrors, right?
Most if not all corporate culture awards are bought in. Pay to play kind of deal. Just pay attention to the people who run the organizations who grant them and those who receive them and you will see their commercial relationships.
Please don’t fall for it.
It’s paid marketing/PR to create the illusion of a corporate culture.
Schwab has become a gamers paradise. You don't actually have to do anything because the people hired or promoted into key leadership roles can't tell the difference between a good story and what actually was done. With percetion being reality, i don't think they even care. Gamers know this and focus on purely on politics and their acting skills with little attention paid to the actual product or who makes it work.
A lot of acting going on there, indeed. Schwab clearly has a self-perpetuating org build/promotion cycle in place. The whole thing is enabled by an underlying money making machine that pays for the show and the cast of characters playing all those roles.
Welcome to corp America, they’re just following the blueprint.
I am with Schwab right now to start my career. It was good at the beginning but slowly started to deteriorate. I didn't have any other options that were any better at the time. I now might have other options so I am looking.
The culture is pretty much a weird cult. I even have people goving me dirty looks whwn I step outside to talk to a recruiter at another company. You have all these weird things to make people think it is a family. There are all these backstabbing fake touchy feely soft people trying to climb the corporate ladder who are completely incompetent. You are also either given a promotion or you aren't. Typically it is given to the people I described above.
I’m not happy with how things have gone and as someone recently laid off by Schwab, I am really not signing the company’s praises. But I will say, I’ve worked at corporate jobs and in corporate cultures far worse. Even worse than the recent decline due to the EC. And before Schwab I was at large Fortune 500 companies that get awards for culture.
