Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Repurchase of stock

I guess this is how Ford intends to appease it's investors/shareholders:

$142BN in dept. EVs loosing over $35k... One vehicle line called F-Series makes pretty much all the companies profits. BTW That starting price for F150 nearly $60k..Who is buying these vehicles? Only a small fraction of the population can afford them.
I personally dumped the stock when I retired. They only artificially keep the dividend up so as not to loose their RATING.

  1. $90+% of their profits come from F-Series
  2. $142Bn (with a capital B)of dept.
  3. Very high capital industry.
  4. company structure set up for 5mn + volume
  5. Suspect or Competent senior management & BOD.

All of the above equate to see or Avoid

Just a drop. In May 2023 Ford filed an S8 with the SEC. Minting 110 million worth of stock for executives. Meanwhile Farley talks about cutting costs. Instead of buying shares back with the Rivian sale, the company chose to pay a one time pay-out to the shareholders and B shares. The company stock is mismanaged to keep the B shares happy.
