Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

24 years services IC

Will I get at least 48 weeks of severance? Is there a cap? The language on the handbook is a bit convoluted.

The handbook says in the US it is 2 weeks per year of service capped at 52 weeks. In states with WARN you get that also but the cap on sum of both is also 52 weeks. So frankly anything over 20 years is same total = 52 weeks.

In the UK it is 1 month for every year of service capped at 12 months or £250k - whichever is less. Each country has different ways to calculate. Some packages are enhanced so people will go without fuss

Do you really think it’s going to be 4 years of severance?
