Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. No matter whether you are still employed or are/will be laid-off, the EMT gave everyone a “turkey” this year with their recent business decisions. Let’s all be thankful we are not defined by the company we work for, the company leadership, or even the title we hold. We are defined by our own personal actions, ethics, morals and the way we treat others. Hold your head up high and keep pushing forward in life!

Sorry “Just by the Pits.” My original post is from someone not in Pitts. The attitude and feelings of former and current employees across the US is more wide-spread than you think. Have you forgotten so quickly that all the negativity and poor decisions came from the EMT in HOUSTON? May God have mercy on the souls of those transferring to Houston. It’s like Jack Dawson being grateful he won a passenger ticket on the Titanic only for him to see the ship sink 5 days later and he died! Hold on everybody. There are only so many life boats (jobs) for everyone at Crown, especially for the special and priveledged (in their own eyes). 😥

@just the pits, I agree with everything you said except that CCI is not fine. We’re behind on our small cell build, we’re losing tower revenue, we have a high debt to equity ratio, we now have competition in the shared small cell space in addition to carriers deciding to self perform they’re mm wave build. Investors don’t see Crown as having a moat around our business and they’re fleeing.

Nobody defines a company as successful with the problems we have.

CCI is fine.
The dramatic gloom and doom is ALL the manifestation of the toxicity gushing from the self-inflicted open wounds of the nepots in Pittsburgh.
This is YOUR doing. this is the bed YOU made through YOUR decisions.
To the 5 of you moving to HQ - dont bring that cancerous trash with you.

Let's be fair..... Crown was showing signs of crumbling for a while. People were talking about it on this site since 2022. People were warning the yes men not to drink the purple kool aid. But those people throwing the red flags were cast aside. Now fast forward to today and all the SP kool aid drinkers are crying foul.

IF YOU DIDN'T SEE THIS COMING, IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT.

Dear Jay (or should it be “Jay Dear”?),

I hope this email finds you enjoying the fruits of your labor, the spoils of your decision to uproot the lives of over 1,300 hardworking employees and plant them in the barren soil of corporate greed.

Your unwavering commitment to profit over people is truly inspiring. I'm sure your shareholders are thrilled with your ability to turn a blind eye to the human cost of your decisions, even if it means condemning over a thousand families to uncertainty and hardship.

I'm also grateful for your assurance that this move will pave the way for a brighter future for the company, even though it means casting a dark shadow over the lives of your Pittsburgh employees. I'm sure they'll be comforted by the knowledge that your personal wealth is growing while their own futures are crumbling.

So, thank you for your unwavering leadership, your unwavering commitment to your shareholders, and your unwavering ability to rationalize the suffering of others. I'm sure you'll sleep soundly at night knowing that you've done everything you can to line your pockets while turning your back on the people who helped build your company.

Sincerely,

Yours truly
