Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Warn list

Nike is showing up on the WARN list.
It’s showing (1500) with no date?

Anyone know anything?

What department does OP work for... the lack of digital literacy and comprehension is staggering. I found the specific 1500 log that OP is referring to. The track # associated with that particular log is 0421. If you sort by track #, you can deduce that this was probably from early 1998. Please don't create fear if you don't understand how to search a listing properly.

Please stop obsessing over the WARN list. You aren’t going to see anything. Delete the bookmark.

The notices are filed in chronological order. Nothing has been filed for Nike since 2020.

Can you provide a reliable source as to where you got this information? I looked at the warm list in Oregon and nothing has been filed since 2020 for Nike.

Nike has been saying “You don’t have to show up to work for 60 days. We’re still going to pay you. Also, you’re locked out of your accounts & need to return your hardware immediately.”

Then they file the WARN notice _after_ your accounts have been locked.

Them paying you for 2 months isn’t technically severance, it’s them bypassing the intent of national employment law. Even if they follow the letter.

@mbe+1pOJKHIQ not sure. I’ve heard they pay you during the 60 days and that is subtracted from the overall severance but haven’t had it confirmed by a reliable source so just speculation as of now.

If the effective data is 60 days in the future, does that mean that if you're laid off you get 60 days PLUS severance? And could still start a new job within those 60 days?

That undated WARN notice has existed for years. I’m a consistent watcher of WARN and noticed this one a long time ago. Still expecting a large layoff in Jan but they’ll do what they’ve done for the smaller layoffs in NDP & HR - layoffs announced to individuals in Jan with an effective date 60 days in the future. Then they file the WARN notice so no one gets wind of it right before the axe drops.

Those are CDA filings from 2020. There have been no new filings for 2023. https://ccwd.hecc.oregon.gov/Layoff/WARN/UploadIndex/7162

I saw that too. I think they are required to give a few months notice.
My guess is the layoffs will be in the new year!
