Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Why don't sams club care about long term workers

I have worked with sam's for 30 years..And got nothing for that but a fake pin and a peice of paper..But what bothers me is the people hired today have more than the people who helped build this company..When I started we had a 90 day probation period and if you called off during that it was a automatic termination..We have new hires call the first week and it is all good..The leadership of this company is poor at best..I believe in Sam Walton and he would be turning in his grave right now..

Why would they care about things they don't even look at as human?

True they are purposely treating you like dirt so that you'll think about leaving so they can hire a few losers off the side of the road. They don't want to pay long termers you make to much and you get their medical benefits. I have seen this in the 25 years that I worked there, i walked up to a manager and told him I quit , so if your feeling mistreated and you can do what I did do it ! BEST THING I EVER DID!!!!!

the worker is the most controllable expense. They cant control the electric bill , the lease cost on the building, the cost of goods to sell, how much snow there is to clear in the winter etc. But they can control how much they spend on payroll. Therefore those who have the most benefits are seen as the most costly. If they treat you poorly enough you will leave. They see you as a cancer.
