There are no rules once the CBA expires.
Actually we continue under the expired contract but we "work to rule" and not give any exta.

Once the CBA expires the T management team & the U management team can “agree” to continue BAU, but there is nothing binding to prevent either from walking away. You should know this.

SE D3 struck last contract, hold out till August 2024, we got your back, not afraid to strike if needed. You have had plenty of time to save since the last contract, if not then shame on you. My group is ready for some downtime.

This doesn't matter one iota! We worked without a contract for over a year in the west, legacy T and there was never any mention of the word, "strike." We pretty much just kept on working business as usual until a new contract was ratified. It was ratified rather quickly because let's face it, most employees are in no position to strike and the company knows this.

There are no rules once the CBA expires. Remember that when you walk out on strike to show’em.
If Leg T is already under the watermark by even one worker and the Union has not been able to stop that, what's to stop the company from dropping another ten, seventeen or fifty-two more workers?

You won’t have years to wait and see what’s next. Union leaders are in the pocket of T leaders. More work to contractors. Don’t like it ? Too bad , the union has zero leverage. Strike? Go ahead , doesn’t matter in the least to T.

I'm in the west and waiting for an offer that might never come. I think T would rather let the technicians retire on their own terms rather than giving them an incentive to leave early. T believes there's enough work to justify keeping the techs on the payroll when that couldn't be further from the truth. We actually have more techs than we have work and work only half days. I don't mind getting paid a full day for a half day of work. It's T's loss, our gain!
The West had a very generous buyout for NM. Probably better to let most retire at their desk or work center and see what attrition does over the next couple of years.
