Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Proactive is the best way to reduce the stress: Let's share our CV updating tips

For me, the first thing is to try to reduce it to two pages. I have many years of experience, and my CV expanded to 4 pages.

Also, the market is bad, the old CV that got me many interviews does not seem enough.

Please share your CV polishing tips, however small they are. Let's try to face the problem instead of endless moaning and worrying because they have little use.

My experience 4 years ago - Customized each resume application and used jobscan app to score resume to posted job description. This helped bypass Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) filters and the email/phone calls from recruiters increased. Today - I would also explore AI / chatGTP

Sometimes you need a kick of reality in life. I just now realized there is no point in hanging out on this forum. When it come to Jane is is Jane and us. When it comes to us, everyone for themselves. Have a great weekend guys. Not visiting this site or any other gossip forums going forwards.

Any advice on resume tips, careers etc. people are doling out are in general, broad terms and often common sense. Not specific or detailed.

We all know we all have a lot of competition and life is unfortunately a competition. NO One shares career trade secrets (resume tips, job leads, which companies to all to, etc.). Everyone who's on linkedin or networks is NOT doing it for charity, to help others or as a service to others. They're only servicing themselves. Why help others get the job you want, may want in the future or get promoted ? You'll only be helping competitors get a better house, car, retirement package, vacation etc..

Resume should really be 1 page. And nothing past last 10 yrs. Market is very bad right now, esp. in IT which has faced massive layoffs past 2 yrs. Good luck!

Have Chatbot write it - it's going to reviewed by an HR app anyway so might as well.

Somehow I used to have an 8 page resume and I was very successful with that. My 2 page resume never got me any interview calls.
