Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Best way to get AT&T discounts?

I'm leaving the company end of December, it's the right thing for me to do. I won't get the nice EMO discount, so what is the best way to get the biggest % off? I am turning 50 next year.
AT&T has been good, but it's changed since I joined.
People I work with are very committed, but demotivated.

Do some minimal research. I am still an active employee and my 50% discount is handily beat by Xfinity Mobile (as an existing customer with Xfinity internet and cable).

Focus on your job search and don’t worry about your worthless mobility “discount”.

+1 forMint Mobile.just renewed for the second year, this time with the 15GB/month, 20 dlls/month, all of 265 dollahs for the next 12 months!

Heck, TMo's over 55 plan gives you better pricing than any socalled T retiree discount.

“ I’m not sure what you guys are talking about. With our employee discount , each line on an unlimited family plan is about 22 to 25 dollars a month before taxes . That's cheaper than most other plans on there.”

Before fees and taxes is the key here Einstein. No added taxes or fees for most MVNOs. Ge-z , Google before you type. You probably still have AOL .

OP says the company has changed since he/she joined...it's more like T has gone into a tailspin over the last decade! When ATT was solely ATT, it was a great place to work and I was proud of it. Ever since SBC took over the company, it has gradually gone downhill! The two senior leaders ran this once proud company right into the ground without any repercussions! Employees are constantly walking on eggshells not know if they're going to have a job from one month to the next, losing benefits, losing vacation time and always looking over their shoulder. It's really become a very sad state of affairs for the culture of this company!

Mint Mobile $15 mo.
Verizon Wireless Internet $30mo.
Sling - Streaming TV $40 mo.
OOMA VOIP home phone $5.50 mo.

There are no employee discounts worth claiming here.

Go to an MVNO like Spectrum Mobile or Visible if coverage is comparable, I had 4 lines with T with an employee discount and now save about $100 mth with Spectrum ( Verizon) . Loyalty is one thing, but charging employees that much more than market average should tell you what they think about employees.

The best plan is to call up a competitor like t-mobile. I'm an employee and their plans are cheaper for me. If you absolutely have some kind of sick loyalty to them, go with a cricket plan if you have no issue with doing everything on the internet and with no support.

Go with the prepaid $300 a year plan for your Mobile, best deal going. Unlimited talk and text and 16g of data. Even cheaper than the BS plan they give employees anyway. It’s a shame what this place has become.

Are you for real? You aren’t getting anything unless you started when you were 10. Why would you want it anyway? All your support will be people that don’t speak English! You can’t get anywhere in this company if you need help. Hello!! It’s the ATT way, send it off shore and give stinks family of pigs more money
