Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

My colleague is not paying attention

I’m literally explaining something for 15 min and then he comes back asking same question. I can say he is 💯 not paying attention. Who hired these people? 🤔 I have been at intel 20 years and have not seen such terrible hiring

@1mfg+1pUy1sSb: Yup, spot on! It shouldn't taken you 15 min to explain just it shouldn't taken him 15 min to understand!!

If you went on for 15 minutes you are probably just pontificating and never really answered their question. Common problem with people who can express their term of employment at Intel in decades. My experience at Intel is that there is too much tribal knowledge instead of accurately documented procedure. I doubt your colleague really wanted to have to ask you in the first place but had no alternative. Having to ask twice was probably a cringe worthy experience for them.

Who hired you, OP? You sound like a horrible listener. Try to be more concise, and clarify the question if it’s asked repeatedly. This is basic stuff, you’re the problem OP

Would you have a different opinion of him if he had brought samosas to office, invited you for mimosas after work, or introduced you to great Indian restaurant near office?!? :-D

You're both below industry avg. Statistically speaking.

Colleague sounds like Intel ELT material.

Did you start the 15 min explanation with the answer? This helps a lot since 15 min is a long time to explain something unless this is a complicated question.
