“Are they going to post a recording of the open mic session on IRIS?”

There is no point. No actual information was given in the open mic. It was just a bunch of vague platitudes. To be fair, any potential deal would be under tight non-disclosure agreements so nothing can be communicated until it is official.

According to a recent reuters article, the Huamana - Cigna deal is off, but the pursuit to sell Cigna Medicare is still on

That meeting was basically a confirmation of the media reports. Basically, we would like to see the MA team stay together with your new company.

Was this a meeting for everyone? I didn’t see anything about this and none of my colleagues heard anything, either.

Divesture of MA or Humana acquisition is now more confirmed than ever with this meeting. Didn’t really need an official press release to the world to tell.

All the deflection and avoidance says it all from the executive.

Morale was lowered as he couldn’t even answer how they were going to boost morale with all the rumors and news. He legit could have said we are doing pizza parties.

I wish the best for all of MA, myself included. I’ll be updating my resume and pumping out job applications for better stable opportunities.

All I heard was don't try to improve morale, use our resources to improve your skills on your resume!

he didnt really answer how to raise morale except gave excuses for why layoffs happen due to adapting to changes and interest.

We won’t get any certainty unless a deal is announced and need to use context clues to determine what the business has moved onto.

That wasn’t exactly verbatim but the wording was interesting and to me confirmed it.

"they claim no big lay offs happened, they wouldnt acquire express scripts to destroy it?"

Tell that to the express scripts team 😂😂

Separately, what's funny to me is that this open forum seems like a desperate attempt to boost morale because people are rightfully disillusioned post layoffs!

So far this open mic has basically confirmed that there will be an acquisition. If Cigna wasn't going to acquire Humana, we wouldn't be getting a SEC laws explainer. They could've just said "this is false" and bo-m, rumor addressed.

They completely destroyed the morale and I’m afraid loyalty no longer exists within the Medicare business. We are all just waiting to be terminated.

Cats out the bag, they can stop pretending to care about Medicare. This explains why so many top Medicare leaders left months ago. As a Medicare employee, I now have to ask myself, should I stay and see how this pans out or should I go.
