I got “move it or lose it” letter in June and panicked. I started mining LinkedIn career search with little success. Then I went to Indeed. Uploaded my resume and whammo! I started getting calls every day and emails from local employers. I interviewed at 3 companies and settled on one I liked with shortest commute and accepted and offer. Stuck it out at T for the severance check and start a new job this month. I am buying my wife a new car with the severance check because she has had to put up with my complaining about management for the last 3 years (23 years really) and then get into new routine at Lumen. Good luck T brothers and sisters!

Sad to say but you're defeating yourself before you get out of the gate.
Buck up (if you're a Dude) or be strong (if you're a Chick) and be willing to learn and try something new. Life is an adventure, so look forward to the opportunity to experience new things!
"...agree LinkedIn has 300+ applicants to every job it seems..."
If you are blindly applying to jobs like that, with hundreds of applicants, you're going to be unemployed for a long time, and you're doing it wrong.
It's all about networking. You need someone to help get you in the door.
Do you have a link to Indeed?
Hey Slick, big money will tell you Lumen will go bust before AT&T. Their stock is under 1.50 a share. I hope you were joking
about your big move to Lumen. Bring a life jacket.
Do they have entry level jobs on Indeed?
Indeed typically has lower paying roles, but agree LinkedIn has 300+ applicants to every job it seems. Will have to explore LinkedIn even more.
Was checking internal open jobs, every single role just about was in Dallas. I guess the plan is to phase out the other places over time. Surprised no jobs in Atlanta given the forced relo to Atlanta.
same boat here, Lumen is GREAT Company who will crush ATT fiber.
Lumen is no better than T! Good luck there because that company is mismanaged just like T!

Smart move, congratulations
Congratulations
Was the pay a match?
At Lumen, lol, talk about a sinking ship...
The problem is Indeed construction jobs require shovel skills and offer low pay.
