2/3 items down on the list now they get people in place and sell fiber and they have recaptured the Crown.
Elliot never asked to sell fiber, they asked to reevaluate the strategy. It is to be determined what that means. I can absolutely see them selling fiber however I can also see them keeping it and doing a better job at managing it because there is much room for improvement. We are in for a wild ride ahead, keep your resume fresh and get your popcorn ready, it will be entertaining to say the least.

@nor+1pYktzHi, you are correct, the mangers who were in charge of installing the Lightower fiber were, and still are, id!ots. Truly a good-ole-boy system. You were either liked or not. If not, no promotions or advancements. You were not judged on performance. It was headed by the former crazy manager S.L. who made countless bad decisions. Then he carried his yes-men buddies like V.F. on his back up the corporate management ladder. Both of these people were far less qualified than existing Crown personnel at the time to install fiber and the SCN. Then, Crown decided to have the construction team members be responsible for both fiber and SCN. That’s like asking the Accounting team to do HR - a train wreck waiting to happen and which did. Fiber costs to build were too high with long construction times. The Crown 2023 10k SCN build goal will not be met. Guess what will happen to the 14k 2024 SCN build goal? Correct, not met! That’s why carriers are now building/installing their own fiber and SCN. As previously stated by another, Crown’s records of fiber installed to date has much to be desired. Elliot, please sell both the fiber and SCN assets. I hope the buyers of both get it for pennies on the dollar because you will be buying cr-p. A big portion of the Titanic is now under water (JB), with the next section (EMT) hopefully going under very soon, so the bilge pumps (Elliott) are now engaging to stop the rest of this massive ship (Crown) from totally sinking before she is totally sold off.
If it is sold - we need to get everything possible out of it. We're still stuck with the debt! Either way, there's some serious work to be done.
I don’t know if Elliot’s goal is to completely sell fiber but one thing is for sure, it can certainly be managed much better than it has been. The downfall of Crown is when they acquired Lightower. They gave too much control to the people that came from Lightower, calling them the fiber experts, when in reality they were just a startup business that was built with the intention to sell. Jay played the fool, overpaid, and then handed them the reins to a company that they had no idea to run. Is it fixable? Perhaps. Other companies have been much more effort than Crown has. Maybe Crown just needs real leadership, something they have been lacking for quite some time.
After billions in and fiber isn't profitable. one more shot then sell it. If the EMT will not invest in the systems, support and tools for a Tier 1 player we are doomed.
They needed too gut business support not D&D.
