there was a post on lay off process but can’t find it anymore. It is done by supervisor in one on one meeting. Is it done in a meeting at beginning of day or end of day? Will network access be terminated immediately or end of day?

I was laid off at Schwab. Had a meeting scheduled on Friday for Monday morning with my boss. My boss did it remotely. Had until the afternoon before my access was removed.
This one of the best post's ever written and is exceptionally accurate. Should be pinned to the front page.

If you are laid off, are specifics of how it's done really that important? You'll have lot of other things to worry about.
A few days in advance, managers will get a list of employees and the exact date that they have to deliver the news. On the date, the managers will have to call the employee that morning and tell them. Then the manager tells HR it’s done and everything is shut down remotely on the employees computer and the employee has to return the equipment.
Network access will be terminated shortly after HR sends the names of those who have been notified to identity management. From past experience you will have time to send a goodbye email if you are so inclined.
