Wait…you guys still get bonuses? Ours were chopped after the merger.
The company is hemorrhaging due to a combination of an ill advised, big purchase, and a loss of orders. They are trying to keep the perception that this is a mass layoff (it is) away from the street. Their plan is to incrementally layoff a few hundred here, a few hundred there". More to come, especially over the holidays and right before they have to pay our bonuses... well hoping to keep at least the next quarters stock price high....
The number heard floating around the cubes today in Melbourne was 160, nobody said if they were all here or at other sites. Accurate? Who knows, just a fly on the wall.
More expected in FL next Thursday.
Camden has let over 60 go since June. Mainly engineers.
