Greatest innovation ever at Cisco. Add 100 lines of config to a switch with a static local login and you can now see active switch-ports in green on a web GUI. Didn't Ciscoview do that 30 years ago with SNMP?

Ah, SNMP:

I'm having a hard time supporting the "they should have patched" argument when so many Cisco updates introduce showstopping bugs and larger customers have to spend years after FCS testing until a release branch is stable enough to field.
If you can't get the basics right adding layers of broken insecure code above it is the wrong next step.
CNC is the new market-tecture for the mythical single-pane-of-glass that solves all IT problems. Which is more often is a single glass of pain.
The goal for this year is to have 100,000 systems hacked, and the goal for next year is to have 1,000,000 systems hacked! Viva la DDTs!
It's not just that I isolate the management networks as best as I can but I try turning off as much of the port based services as possible for the bugs in that code as well. The monkeys can barely handle ASCII with the CLI and the str functions - trying to get them to handle Unicode which continues to evolve along with HTML or XML is just asking for trouble.
Nexus cloud was ki-led off. This is to be the cloud of all clouds. It will be Meraki, catalyst and Nexus
Is this Nexus Cloud? I thought Cisco retired it?
30 years ago,you need many snmp servers, now you only need to share the cloud servers with others, that save a lot of mony~~
Over a decade too late and still not shipping.
You’re missing the point. CNC is all about consolidating platforms, having a common UI, etc.
What you are talking about is Cloud Monitoring for Catalyst powered by Meraki. Which at first was very simple now has packet capture, CLI access, firmware upgrades and more in the future.
