Thread regarding VMware layoffs

I got my transition letter but it doesnt say a few things

With the full expectation of getting layoff letter (which I am totally fine with it), I got my transition offer for the period post acquisition to August 2024.

The August 2024 end date blows my mind since it's too long.

A few things are missing in the offer letter:

  1. It doesn't say if I decline this transition offer, will I still get the severance.
  2. It doesn't say what's the deadline for this offer, 1 day or 3 days or x days?

I am in a non-engineer group and I support multiple BUs (non-CIBG)

Do you get transition bonus + severance like with previous Broadcom acquisitions, or just transition bonus at the end?
