SK partner with Ford laid off half of the workforce due to no battery demand from Ford. CATL partner with Ford stopped building the battery facility. Ford battery plant in KY and TN is put on hold.
Ford needs time to figure out what to do with making EV that they can't sell and customers don't want to buy.
These are indicators that layoff is actively in the plan for Ford Model E.

The batteries that Ford is planning to produce in KY and TN will no longer being use by 2027. The none solid state batteries are going to be obsolete.
By 2026, if you can't make EV with 500 mile range then you will no longer be in business.
Chinese EV already have solid state batteries and their vehicle already have 500 mile range.
