Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Understand the Situation

Lots of posts for Layoff, Citi, Favoritism, etc....

Think of a few points

  1. Citi stock is around $38, which is far lesser than $60-70 it was earlier. Definitely the company is going less in stocks.
  2. Check the Finance sector and its futures. Its falling too.
  3. Countries are involved in war and the funding might affect economy
  4. Economy is not fully up and running after Covid.
  5. The interest rates are too high and "Unemployment" is the only way to bring it down. So a cut is imminent and all companies might do a layoff.

Your job stability = How critical you are to Business/Team/Company

Think about this :

Are you progressing in this company even if you stay here ?
You will live a life of fear and death.

I just looked at some other stock analysis for Citi and read some of the comments. Wow. I thought only the employees were mad, and uncertain as to the direction that Jane was taking us. Boy was I wrong.

Comment after comment such as “I don’t care what Jane’s political beliefs are, make the f** stock go up, do your job”

What’s embarrassing is this….
Watching an MSNBC segment on the different sectors in regards to the stock market. Upon reaching the financial sector, the panel discussed the various banks. The pro’s the con’s, the good and bad, projections etc…. Citi was never mentioned. They started to move on to another sector and someone on the panel said “Wait a second we forgot one. We forgot Citi”. There was a slight paused then they all laughed in unison for a bit and then moved on to the medical sector.

Right now the C stock is at a 52 week low. Its a good time to buy on the low with hopes of selling on the high…..IF you have faith in the leadership to get us there.
