Thread regarding USAA layoffs

The gaslighting/obfuscation continues...

In an online meeting today, an exec basically said this: most employees are reporting that they are looking forward to the 4 day RTO, They're asking so many questions on how to collaborate and how they can be prepared to be at their best for 2024.

I had 3 BS meters peg hard and break after that terd was squeezed out in that meeting. He must think we're a bunch of 5 year olds that will believe anything; even a 5 year old would have called that a load of BS. These are the kind of brain dead execs we have now, absorbed deeply into to the cult of Wayne. 2024 is going to sukk hard for a lot of us everyday workers, invest in some good lube before it goes out of stock.

As someone with a salaried job at several FIs that had lower paid customer-facing non exempt staff, in the branches or on the phone: I never saw the levels of discontent and misery in the non exempt staff that is present at USAA. And these other FIs were running on very thin margins, much worse than USAA. It makes me feel terrible like my higher salary is at the expense of these lower-paid workers' suffering.

The entitled call center crybabies showed up to continue their nonstop whining about RTO and bonus. I guess they thought that posting about their current roles & expectations on a layoff site would make a difference or even cancel USAA. (HA)

Why are you posting about RTO for a job you currently have? Were you recently laid off or terminated? Did you not understand the purpose of this site? Did you ever think that the bathroom and lube refences might just show your maturity level? Of course, you did not think ahead. Maybe that is why you are being treated like you are 5 years old.

Wayne is full of sh!t, not everyone is going to get a 4% raise, managers in my area were furious when he said that, same when he said last year to “talk to your manager about an out of cycle raise,” our ED called him out in the employee slack channel for saying he’s completely wrong.

I’m curious as to that executive, my area doesn’t care, they speak up and have let it known it’s them, most are hoping for a layoff notice, a year’s severance, then go to another company for more money doing the exact same job with far less stress.

Not sure what area that executive is in, but my area in bank, we speak openly about RTO and have voiced our disdain on how we were lied to about WFH and it makes no sense for most of us to spend close to 3 hours a day driving to and from work. Me personally, I live closer to Austin than I do USAA, but because I’m within 60 miles, I have to go in. But hey, Wayne said we’re all able to get a 4% raise, while he runs this company into the ground, and don’t let the scorecard fool you, the company will for the 2nd straight year be at a loss.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they are getting that feedback. They’ve changed tactics to get non-anonymous feedback. Anyone who’s smart isn’t going to give real feedback when your name is attached to it.
