Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Layoffs have been confirmed. Bulldozers being sent to locations next week.

Anymore doubters out there that Vena isn’t going to cut this company down to nothing for the sake of shareholders money? Layoffs continued today and a manager friend of mine who was just let go told me about a fleet of bulldozers being sent to 12 different locations next week to completely eliminate them FOREVER. The second coming of Vena has officially begun….he hates YOU. Leave this trash company before he makes you leave. If you see bulldozers at your location next week….its over for you.

Don’t get our hopes up! It would be a relief for this place to be leveled, then I’d never have to come back!

Palmdale and Mojave are rumored to be two of the places to be shut down.

I hope they demolish wrong address, such as BNSF, Csx , NS and Amtrak buildings.

The bulldozers are being sent to destroy locations that Vena doesn’t want open anymore because he doesn’t want courts or any other federal government agency like the FRA to force UP to keep them open like they have done with Palestine. He wants them completely eliminated so there is nothing left but a level field.

Permits we don't need no stinking permits, that's the demolition contractors job.

There's a problem with this. First thing is that any site has to prepped for demolition. Hazmat survey teams have to conduct surveys for the possible presence of asbestos. Plus any other hazmat that might be present. Then all utilities have to be disconnected and removed from the demo site. Then there's the thing of rerouting of traffic. If the locations are being torn down, then that traffic would've already been rerouted some time ago. You can't just show up with demo teams to destroy a site without rerouting traffic ahead of time. Here's the biggest issue. PERMITS! Mini Vinni can't just send bulldozers to a site for teardown without the proper permits. A permit wouldn't be issued WITHOUT the hazmat inspections being done and notarized as being safe for demolition. There's other steps that have to be done before a demolition can be performed. You do have quite the imagination though.

Why would they send a fleet of bulldozers? Are not bulldozers commonly available already at or near those locations? Wouldn't sending a fleet of bulldozers be significantly and needlessly expensive?
This kind of absurdity is how I know your comment lacks factual basis and instead is presented from imagination. Even if you are correct, your correctness would be by accident.

Ugh....not bulldozer guy again. Go play with your Bob the Builder doll. Nobody believes you. JV would never waste the money to do that when UP can just sell the property.
