If you've come over from Union Bank and have now received notice of your new compensation and new title, does this mean you're safe for awhile from being laid off? Does it buy you at least 6 months? Any HR anons input in this?

Short answer is no, you’re not safe even if you’re mapped over, received your training and given your new title. The layoffs will be phased out until USB has achieved its predetermined goal. Expect most of UB employees will be affected.
We are being eliminated as of 12/4. Just heard from someone in HR.
UB had a very different process for Corporate Titles. It was similar to many large banks, in that there was an annual nomination process where, if you met the criteria and had a sponsor, you could get nominated to be bumped up to an AVP, VP, Director, or MD title. It was tied to the role performed but was not necessarily directly linked to your pay grade.
At USB, assigning of Corp Titles is much more directly and mechanically linked to Pay Grade. You land in a certain pay grade, and you get the title that goes with that. It's not an annual nomination/promotion process like UB was.
Titles at usbank are by job grade and not title or length. Care more about job grade and not title.
My title was lowered, which was disappointing. However, my compensation increased by a moderate bump.
I got a base salary raise of a little over 2% that takes effect 1/1/24.
Article on HR site states that all Union Bank employees are supposed to find out their titles and compensation this week starting 10/30. If you haven't heard anything yet should ask your manager.
Branch Employee here. I have not heard anything about what I’ve been mapped to.
For UB people that have received new mapping usb compensation, did they lower your pay or raised pay from UB?
