Intel is America's only hope for chip manufacturing at modern scale. Otherwise just embrace China as the future of chips. Who else in America will stand up to China/Taiwan? Global Foundries? That is a joke by itself. I would say most people here rooting against Intel are probably communist or AMD employees, with AMD people being the most pathetic.

Straw man argument. I'm not rooting against INTC or the USA, since my paycheck depends on the success of INTC. What I'm disgusted with is the ELT/BoD/mgmt of INTC, the mismanagement of a once great tech company. PowerPoint slides are easy, so is talking out of your a-s, INTC accels at both. Shipping competitive products on time, not so much.
