Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Short Term Disability

For those folks who initiated successfully short term disability, prior to the layoff our employment, we made out.

As we are disabled, and not able to work, the 60 days starts when we are able to come back to ‘the office.’.Until that time, we retain benefits and are still eligible for a new bonus implemented if one is, 2024. Once we are able to work, we simply say we are, Schwab would then lay us off as of that day and will then start the 60 days, benefits and Schwab will pay in full salary for those 60 days. Then that’s it for Schwab. You can then file for unemployment. I love America!

This could not come at a better time for me. Planned to retire in 4 months. But now I get severance and collect unemployment and get all my RSU's. I love America too!

Nice! It’s gone under the radar, but on Walt and Rick’s recorded “all-hands” they mentioned a “employee stock option grant” to be announced soon. If it happens before you return, you should get that too.
