Anyone have any news on if any Agency/Purchased Services layoffs are happening before the end of the year?

@2erd+1ppH1O12 Yes, we still have agency people around. Half of my team are green badges. We have lost some agency positions to cuts, but mainly Ford employees.
@OP. Usually, Ford let go agency people in Xmas. The contracts are not renewed, and while the LL6s and agencies know the details at least 1 week in advance, the contractors find out in the last day of work at 6 pm.
At this time, nobody knows what is going to happen tomorrow, least of all in 2 months. Ford is between a rock (the need to reduce costs due to UAW rising "value", the losses of awful quality and betting the farm to the wrong technology, A.K.A, EVs) and a hard place (the need of qualified engineers/workforce). Having such a d-mb "leadership", nobody knows, probably not even the C suite themselves, what is going to happen next.
It seems we are going down the hybrid path now, but at the same time the company still wants to layoff older ICE engineers with pensions. Is Ford still going to export engineering to LCCs and suppliers as it was planned years ago? It seems BF is also shopping around for a new CEO. Will he succeed? Will the company have a capable CEO? Can a capable CEO save the company at this point? Would a new CEO continue the "cost reduction through employees layoff" path of the "predecesors"? Would a new CEO be able to bring and retain talent at Ford?
Believe me OP, many people besides the Ford employees/contractors would love to know the answers to these questions. However, as I stated before, nobody knows since stupidity knows no limits. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity, especially when is wielded by a silver spoon fed "executive chairman".
We still have agency people left?
Ford is stupid to hire PS to do the work that their engineers or salary worker are incompetent to do the work.
It's like you hire an electrician to install lighting for your house, that electrician hire another contractor to do the light installation and charge you double.
Ford engineers hire contract engineer to do their work. Ford pays for both people, where the Ford engineer gets paid for doing spreadsheets and ppt. No wonder the company is so screwed up and not profitable.
Yes some happened today “budgetary cuts resulting from strike” was the reason specified. But the cuts were planned pre-strike. They might of moved the cut date up a few weeks due to strike. Originally they were talking of dec cuts
for sure it will, just wait for your turn.
What purchased services companies were not renewed?
Some of PS were not renewed. Agency may be next. Some useless Ford direct will always be there goofing around.
Yes, it will happen
