Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Senior leadership movements

Looking at this month's announcements, looks like there are many executives hired from outside. Also, there seems to be many role expansions of the SVPs and VPs. Cost cutting measures?? Or these people can actually load on more??

CBG could be ripe for a spin off. Just a small business with not much technology.

At those levels they could EASILY double their workloads of value added responsibilities. It’s from grade school math we all learned that two times nothing is still nothing.

Sure they can load more on these VP and SVPs. They don’t do anything of value, just act important like their superiors do as stock goes to h e l l.

3M, an American born company has blown it globally. Our genius leadership has decided to move away from science and to instead engage in social engineering and loosened dependance on science. Propagating anti-science beliefs somehow became a business initiative. Hint: You supply goods and services to people, all people. Stick to science, see definition below and good luck.
noun

the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.
"the world of science and technology"

The di-----d CFO is the id--t, not most 3M Employees. He is one of the key reason's 3am stock circling the bowl. Moni is a loser.

Interesting. They told us earlier this year that the executives were also being scaled back by 10% when the layoffs were announced. Is it still true?

All the executive IT leaders have come from the outside, and they are definitely lower quality than what we had before. All our good leaders have left or are looking to leave. No reason to stay at remainco dumpster fire!

With so many external executives there seems to be no more 3M culture. Everything is about cost controls and meeting wall street numbers. Nobody talks about growth now.

Ummm … they are offering huge pay packages for outside hires (executives) to join 3M !! When the pay offer is attractive, it makes it worthwhile to join a dumpster fire of a company

I have a friend in Legal and he told me no one is happy and everyone wants to leave. 3M needs good lawyers now more than ever.

They only hire executives from outside because 3Mers are id--ts who know nothing. Rumor has it the cfo made that call early in his tenure. You can see how all these outside hires are doing by looking at the stock price and employee morale. Why they are joining a sinking ship is the question.

To be fair, the lawyers are busier than all of us right now.
