How are candidates being picked for a layoff?

Anyone knows/heard how they’re determining who would be let go? Are managers of each team giving their suggestion on who should be cut from their team? Does it get to that level? Or is this being determined at a much higher level by senior management without even considering each candidate’s performance, tenure, etc? I am pretty sure my team will be impacted but it’s nerve wrecking to think if our whole team will be gone or they’ll pick from lower end of performance

Each employee will be evaluated by the responses from HR’s Citi issued Magic 8 Ball. 🎱

In all serious, there appears no logic to what Citi is doing apart from making hasty decisions.

I've heard they are rank ordering direct reports and no more details then that at the moment.
