Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Nov 15th or Nov 20th is when layoff would be announced?

Any idea when the layoffs would be announced? I am hearing from some that it’s Nov 15th (wednesday next week) and from others Nov 20th (monday of the Thanksgiving week)

It will be this week. If you have an invite for a noon meeting your job will be impacted 11/13 and 11/15.

As someone else here said, companies do not care. They will layoff the week of, or the day before or after a Holiday. I was laidoff by Jpmorgan Chase lietrally one week before Christmas!!! And then companies wonder why employees have No loyalty and do quiet quitting. After Jpmorgan Chase F'ed me over I took out and withdrew all of my and my families accounts, credit cards etc. Out of Jpmorgan Chase and vowed never to do business with them again. I also vowed to bad mouth them to relatives, friends neighbors forever and talk them out of having accounts at Jpmorgan Chase. There are other banks.

Are the layoffs more likely to occur on Black Friday, 11/24?

Not to worry though. Jane has set herself up really well. She’s going to be just fine.

Citi has layed off before Thanksgiving and afterwards. Not on Mondays or Fridays but who knows at this point.I have seen it.. I think it's awful how it's being done.

You’re under the impression that Citi cares. Citi has no issues laying people off right BEFORE or DURING Thanksgiving or Christmas week. It would not surprise me if they did it on both.

What adds the extra sting is that for years to come whoever they let go right before the holidays will now reflect upon the time they became jobless by Citi during that same time of the year.

Heard the same dates. But doubt they would do it on the 20th during Thanksgiving week. It's just "wait and see" at this point.
