Thread regarding VMware layoffs

AVGO and VMW Stock performance over the last 5 days

Both stocks are up, with AVGO touching 52 week highs.

Any market whizzes out there willing to share their thoughts on this performance and correlation to proposed acquisition stalemate?

Mr. Rich - do you realize that all of today's gains are due to the semiconductor industry which all rose the same amount?

I bought a seat at the table, actually pretty cheap considering the access to world leaders. Pay to play, the good ol way.

I made a 200% return yesterday on AVGO calls when AVGO touched a 52 week high yesterday. AVGO stock is getting ready to breakout to 1k. All you people saying deal won’t go thru well stocks and investors don’t think that 😂. It looks like hock will get this done before merger deadline lol. He will meet with Xi next week at the dinner table and convince him and get approval the next day lol. Dont underestimate Hock Tan. China holding off signing written approval. They already gave verbal approval. Deal is practically done LOL. Hock is simply waiting to close the deal. He just needs XI or china’s chain of command to give him the thumbs up and deal is closed lol. Which I believe he can do next week. Man showed up to VMware explore and explained what he’s going to do with VMware after deal closed. He indirectly confirmed the deal close 🤣. It’s only a matter of time before Xi says okay and SAMR gives approval. When deal goes thru I will make a lot more. Thanks VMware employees :)

I think VMW is just meaningless to BCM... I mean the market doesn't care at all about it or worse it maybe happy (for Avago) if the deal fail

In online trading forums, the short sellers are boasting about their gains.

VMW shares are in play for as long as the news keeps posting stories about volatility.

Meanwhile, institutional investor asset managers are still spacing VMW sell orders.

I don't follow AVGO, so maybe someone else can provide and update.

Barrons says VMW is going up because of the short covering.

AVGO is probably buy the rumor and sell the news on 26th Nov when the deal will be cancelled.
