And figure it out. No ground rules for days off and how that counts, half day in the office. I think Leadership wanted to nail whoever they could with any kind of technicality. That's the kind of dirty pool ATT plays with employees, shareholders, and customers.

When one is in a management position, there are no set hours of work. You get paid by meeting and exceeding performance expectations established by your business unit. Delicate dance for T leadership to enforce VPN hours since that might give the appearance of a time clock for exempt employee. Opens a can of worms with Dept. of Labor who has clearly defined roles for Exempt and Non-Exempt. Now you can't be that jerk that just comes in for 15 minutes and leaves for the day.
I can’t believe people are still whining about having to go in the office 3 days per week. You got paid 2 years salary to sit at home and do nothing. Just put on your big boy/girl pants and do your job.
We were told it was 60% of the days worked and no matter how low the remainder was to round up.

Chris Altomaire was asked this during a townhall and he along with an HR director on the call clearly stated that PTO counts as a day in the office. Any day you do not work from home (PTO, in the field etc) counts as a day in the office. There was nothing ambiguous.

I'd highly suggest that you back off and start focusing on yourself. How much work are you actually getting done with so much of your focus on here? Stop it. This is creepy and unacceptable.

Staying employed should be the goal here. I driver over an hour one way to the office and pay $9/day in tolls. If that’s what I have to do to keep the surplus beacon off my head then so be it. No one is 100% safe but showing up without complaining is a start.

You are going to be wishing for the days of a 3 day work week when AT&T tries to ph--k over the Union "Dregs" come contract time and you are sent out to be the "highly" trained Contingency Workforce.

I think the fact that these comments are still being made is proof that the policy was not spelled out. And that's pretty typical of every decision being made.

Let's be honest the way the policy is being enforced is unequal and unfair. If we had unlimited WFH no one would come in to the office. Are there people not working when at home? Probably. But let's be honest them being in the office (especially with those whose team is spread out geographically) doesn't mean they're working either.
Agree on the unclear expectations and how PTO affects it. Opinions aside, my team did get clear direction from my VP:
Stankey’s belief is that we should spend a majority of our working time in the office, so at least 3 days a week. PTO days do not count because that is not your working time.
That means if you have 4 days of PTO M-Th, the report will ding you if you don’t get a badge swipe for that Friday.
i have heard many people say pto counts as an in office day. probably why everyone is off on fridays now.

The person was overjoyed to hear this. BTW, this person comes in at 9:30 and leaves at 3:30 and says she finishes up at home.
