Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

As usual, no matter which sector or company employees pay the price for bad leadership.

You have to have a proven track record of leadership failure in order for the board to “do something about it”. Well, I believe we are on the cusp of that now. The pending layoffs are Janes last hail Mary attempt to try and reverse the damage.

Cuts will be today on a call at noon Nov 13th and tomorrow on a call 11/14 at 11:00. If you have an invite your job will be impacted.

Stop play mindgames with employees and provide clear timeline for upcoming firings. The board/ stockholders should demand transparency to minimize further damage to stock price and Citi’s reputation.
Example:
Nov 2023 MD, directors, senior managers level cuts
Dec 2023 SVP level cuts
Jan 2024 VP and AVP level cuts
Mar 2024 other cuts
