Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Being Agile in Dell is a joke

What a joke. In Dell they’re trying to drive software agility, using scrum. This is great. Still no changes to your roadmap or adjustments and year long commitments, not direction. Why bother. Just stay waterfall and save everyone’s time.

Dell is a joke of a company. The worst part is the arrogance and narcissism of them all.

Nothing worse than dealing with narcissists.

Agile and Scrum are the latest dance tunes all over the, not just at Dell - common sense 'reinvented' and renamed

Agile and scrum are stupid simple. Break down work, update people where I am and demo it. Stupid simple. I’ve been at Dell only a short time. I think our relationship is going to be short. Too many people, like you on this thread who think being part of an Agile scrum based project is hard.

Execs say they want agile, but they aren’t really willing to change processes/expectations

Agile and Scrum are both basically "cult religions" used to drive sales of consultant services, conferences, certifications etc etc to managers that aren't very bright, are very gullible and still probably believe in Santa Claus.

Agile, Scrum, etc are a joke. It's just to keep some project managers busy.
