Work From Home

We are not google. We are not SpaceX. We do not build products. Why do we have to pay exorbitant rent for any office spaces at all? The company functioned fine during lockdowns. What is the point of wasting money on offices? They could save many, many millions and create a happy work force by doing away with large offices. Why not accept the future?

people who are invested in the real estate from purchasing the building or buying shares into a company who purchases homes/commercial buildings or an investment fund that does the same, they don’t want to lose out on their investment or their return so they are pushing folks into the office because of this. This could be one of the main factors why companies are pushing folks back into the office… to satisfy stockholders and nothing to do how productive we maybe home working from home... I’m sure the folks in Elliott are also in the real estate business…

They would save more money in the long term, but those goodie local county tax incentives to force people into the office that help for traffic to local businesses is just too good to pass up for some companies.

Trust me they aren’t tracking actual work time. My office is loaded with people who do nothing but BS all day long. They probably did more at home..

They figured out that 90% the work is done 10% of the staff. Having you come in makes it easier to track your actual work time. They are identifying the non productive employees and put them on the next riff list. Keep cutting until the remaining employees are working every minute. Honestly, there were a lot of people not producing.
