Citi told their employees to WFH the last two weeks of 2023 to avoid in office "situations" due to impending layoffs. Easier to cut somebody when they're already at home, and you can just box their stuff up and ship it to them. Operation Bora Bora...

It's okay.
We're all going to be laid off before the end of 2024 anyway.

I certainly don't want to end up on a report. However, I also don't want to work in the office if I don't absolutely need to be there. What is everyone planning on doing? Regular 3/2 or take the risk and work from home through the end of the year?

An actual email was received from HR stating the last two weeks in Dec will not be checked. Going by that. But, the actual flexibility to wfh is up to your manager.

“ Yesterday we were emailed from manager that they are NOW counting next week to be in office.”

Maybe that’s just your manager. Playing you.

My manager said doesn't mean we are not supposed to follow policy even if reports are not pulled.

I’m in a GT team, all onshore, and we were told multiple times Thanksgiving week and last 2 weeks of year won’t be counted in the back to office reports. Yesterday we were emailed from manager that they are NOW counting next week to be in office. I’m not sure if this is for all areas or only GT.

If you’re out of office, make sure Workday shows your time off so you’ll be excluded from these reports.

In November, a co-worker was forwarded an email that her manager received stating the week of Thanksgiving and last 2 weeks of the year.

The "no counting" for last 2 weeks of the year is actually TRUE.

Heard it myself on an HR call as well as Leader guidance call.

They did not count week of U.S. Thanksgiving either.

Unless HR announces it on a verifiable platform, don't believe it.
