How do some people get so many Inspire Awards? I have not got any and wondering why. Are you less likely to get layoff if you have Inspire Awards?

Inspire points are part of Dell's budget so, it's fairly rare to get much more than 1000 points. My manager is good about givcing them out but, usually in 600 point chunks unless I/we completed a major project. Most I've gotten in one chunk was a thousand USD cash.
Ask for them. Hey can you put in an inspire for what I just did for you? Also give them to people who you think should give to you. Then ask them to reciprocate. I try for a couple each quarter however I don't think it matters much
I remember a manager who religiously would give every single isr on their team a hefty award every single quarter for things such as showing up to work every day hahahaha.
And they still think hes an id--t
They are budgeted and budget is way too small.
As a result It doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to.
Waste of time!!!!
If you arent receiving them its likley you arent being under paid or screwed over.
You b#stards are lucky you have jobs. Just get your a-s"s back to the office and bend a knee to your deity of choice tht they havent canned you yet. Awards?
its the same names over and over.
You have to be part of the butt kissing club or wait till your manager finally recognizes you. All of the Inspires I see flying around are in the same little group or there was a project that had really high level visibility.
you tell your coworkers to stop chit chatting and get back to work. They will write you inspired awards. simple as that.
Don’t forget they fund this Marxist program by ki-ling the Dell Champion awards that you’d get for actually performing
Real talk....i work my a** off and very rarely get them, usually only when our manager gives the whole team one.
Its ok though....i dont give s**t to anyone either. Seems like you always see the same names over and over
Its the old adage, you don't get them if you don't write them.
Back in the EMC days I gave a guy in India a Silver award, he got $1,500, and all he was concerned with was where is the medal so he could hang it up in his cubicle to flex.
Start the tradition of giving inspire awards to others.
When someone completes a project, send an award.
When someone comes up with a better way of doing something, send an award.
When someone goes above and beyond to help out, send an award.
You’ll find that others will start doing the same. 😃
I love the shoutouts from the execs or management team assigned 0 points.
It's so cheap and cheesy.
We just want to give you nothing material just a pat on the head.
The awards are mostly from being awarded by coworkers who basically pay each other on the back for actually doing their job which they should be doin anyway.
Just Dell internal BS behavior that is condoned.
