Anyone know when the annual reduction in expat compensation will be shared this year?

@1iam+1q5RCgV6 love how the expats in the US then further drive up the cost of the HC10 countries. My group at EMTEC has several India expats. Turns out they are costing more than US citizen new hires would but we have to take them to train up our replacements. Funny thing is when it comes time for their assignment to end I think most of them are planning to quit and try get a job in the US or stay in the US for graduate school or an MBA. Who can blame them for not wanting to go back?

Sadly what this means is all the expats working in the US will now be paid more. US expats get less while expats working in the US are paid more.

Hallelujah... Need to cut back on expat cost. Put the money back to local employees.

Sad but true that it has become an annual reduction. My prediction is that benchmarking shows the cost of living in your home country has gone up and the cost of living in your host country has gone down. Airplane tickets have also gone down although no one you know can find tickets for the price the company says you should be able to find them for. Meanwhile in spite of increasing security concerns your premium will be reduced because it is about the experience not the money after all.
