Do not buy vehicles from Ford GM or Chrysler Fiat. These are the worst automotive companies in the world. Poor quality, high recalls, poor customer service, poor performance, poor fuel economy, expensive due to UAW. I highly recommend that you all stay away from these companies.

I work at Ford, but I am not stupid to buy a Ford.

Every single Ford initiative is destined for immediate catastrophic overspend and ultimate failure. The failures are proclaimed as successes, then the leaders swap positions. The inheritor of the failure either has to continue proclaiming the falsehoods or tell the truth and be blamed, shamed and ousted. Many GSRs model the leaders behavior. Such a joyful enriching workplace.

Boeings problems started with the Boeing McDonald Douglas merger in the 90s. Boeings leadership was engineer and quality focused. McDonald Douglas had quality problems, was MBA focused and about to implode. Post merger the McDonald Douglas execs over powered the Boeing leadership and set about undermining the engineering and quality focused Boeing staff. The results are on display for all to see.

The similarities between McDonald Douglas leadership and Ford leadership is striking.
If Boeing chucked all the leaders and wanna be leaders originating from McDonald Douglas they could quickly change course.
Now Ford has been infested with bad leadership and bad culture since pretty much forever. It’s unclear there is a path forward for Ford.

Who has the worst quality problems compared to Ford?

GM? or the Boeing Airplane Company with their 737 Max airplanes?

GM needs to start putting a Ford emblem on their Blazers.
