Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Layoffs coming?

With all the recent “hiccups”, can we expect layoffs? Some peeps think not, as Boeing is in dire need of experienced workforce and good engineers. But what about C-suits and middle management? Someone should bear the consequences for those accidents. Do we really need a bean counter for a supreme boss? They can be creative towards Wall Street, but who’s gonna save us from flying doors and cracked windows?

I have a feeling the move to India will not go so well for Boeing. If you ever been to that continent you will realize they are not the safest people.

The people running the company don’t think they need senior engineers or mechanics. They believe they only need level one and level two engineers and mechanics, all working for a senior lead. That’s the reason whenever layoffs hit there’s obvious wage discrimination.

Boeing will push hard for a concession from the mechanics union that you will no longer be guaranteed retention based on years of service. Once they get that concession, they’ll go after anyone who’s at the top of the pay scale unless they’re a lead.

When they get another design center up and running in India expect more layoffs and work moved to India. Same playbook.

Yep, in the end many people will lose their Boeing jobs, some people will lose their lives and a selected few people will become very wealthy and have zero regrets.

Boeing needs to be sold and run by somebody else.

One reason for the continued layoffs is that they have ben diversity hiring. This means 1 person does a good job but 10 others are hired to profit from that good job. Then, Boeing runs out of money and lays off 3 of them. Rinse, repeat.

Some people mistakenly think that the MBAs made a mistake by trading high quality engineering and manufacturing for increased profit. Sorry to say but all the consequences were carefully considered and discussed at high level meetings including factoring in the cost of increased accidents. This was a well-planned and well-orchestrated wealth generation scheme with a finite execution life. So yeah, what you now have is the result of this finely executed plan...just follow the money to find the highly successful people who benefited.

The fall of Boeing has been going on for at least 30 years. It would take at least that long to get back to the level of engineering and manufacturing performance they had back then. But the bean counters righly know that remedying this engineering and manufacturing situation would be far too costly and the competition from Airbus and soon COMAC makes it intractable too. So don't expect Boeing to survive long term. At some point they will announce that they can't compete and make a profit, and they will cease doing aerospace.

The Boeing cancer that began in the early 90s has spread rampant and can no longer be successfully removed. So while it's too late for Boeing, other companies will benefit from this knowledge and will successfully replace Boeing.

The entire management criteria for The company has to change but since it took a good 20 years to achieve a the lowest of lowest bottoms it might be to late. Drastic change will have to happen in order to rise to the top. I'm crossing my fingers.
