Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Concerned.

Is it true that dev in India are given test data to work with. Test data being any customer data that’s over a week old. I find this concerning as customer data for the most part is static and does not dynamically change. Account numbers, SSN#, drivers liscense.
Is it true that this data has been kept live on the internet and not behind a firewall?

This has to be wrong, this cannot be right, is it?

They validate PI data in both India and the Philippines. Not test data, actual data.

Guarantee that data has been copied numerous times and is sitting somewhere in an unsecured location. Even if the data was not copied with malicious intent, doesn't mean someone else won't find it and use it for financial gain.

Read this elsewhere, it has to be an urban legend and\or speculation.
