Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Zombies?

I worked Aero Tucson for 20 years, then went to Raytheon with everyone else 10 years ago. I ran into a former Aero Tucson coworker who left after I did, and he told me this story.

Tucson closed in 2021. Today, there are Honeywell employees working there for other sites. They report to various organizations and divisions, and none of them work with anything designed or built by Tucson. It is a combination of remote work and in-office ITAR facility, and you do not have to move your family for work.

So, the Tucson building is there, with a Honeywell sign and Honeywell employees, but there is no Tucson site inside the buildings. Aero Tucson is not alive OR dead? It is alive AND dead? A zombie?

Do you know other former sites, where current Honeywell employees, who do not want to move from home, go to do remote Honeywell work?

HON Tucson exist in a limited capacity, although they're one test station failure away from closure. Still using Windows 95 OS...smh

There is still a Tucson site. Most products were transitioned to the 3rd party.
Starters are still Hon and there are still some Hon employees there.

Every single site closure and transition lately such as Greer, Anniston, Tucson, has been plagued with failures and delays, at least at the shop level anyway. I'm sure it looks great financially on paper but the cost of the lost experience and talent that comes with it is the price our customers have to pay unfortunately. I have never seen the quality and delivery as bad as it is today.

Isn’t that pretty much EVERY Honeywell site?

If honeywell was a breakfast dish it would be scrambled eggs.
If Honeywell was a movie it would be Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
