Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I'm shocked we were not the ones to open the layoff season

With all the rumors about layoffs circulating all over the place, I expected to see some cuts within the first two weeks of the year. I can't believe that Google and Amazon opened the season and we're still waiting. Who knows, maybe things are looking up at Intel after all and we'll go a full month without cuts. (I'm being sarcastic, in case that was not obvious.)

It’s intels all-in moment. Make it or break it 24-25.

If one more thing goes wrong. I fear that will break its back.

Intel stopped announcing layoffs in large numbers after the 2016 debacle. It is bad press. Instead of walking thousands out the door in one large move they just continuously move small numbers. Kind of like a dripping faucet, seems innocuous but it really wastes a lot over time. See how the Q4 and 2023 earnings turn out. Watch the forecasts and also check for really large restructuring charges in the earnings report.
