There is a rumor going around that layoffs will range anywhere from 10k to 18k, and they will be going on throughout February. If this is true, then what? Industry job market has been shrinking, and if those predicting a bad year are right it will only get worse. I guess we all should start looking into other opportunities beginning now.

20+ years at Cisco....dealing with this bullsh-t every single year...they don´t care about the business and Customers...they take unreal decitions just to get the big bonus and fake the productivity/head number
If I get the axe, I'll do all I can to join a customer. Once there, I'll make sure not another dime ever gets spent buying Cisco gear.
Laying off 18,000 would hurt the brand too much. Publicly eliminate 5,000 followed by 3 small stealth layoffs is better for the stock price.
Expext layoffs upwards of 25K at least, execs want big bonuses this year
After 25 plus years in the industry , if I get laid off, I will be living in a cabin in the woods for a year before seeing what to do.
