When the music stops playing there will only be 2 hub locations- Dallas/Atlanta. I would expect Atalanta to go away once Legg leaves the business leaving only Dallas.

“ “It ain’t what you know, it’s “who likes you” personally - not professionally…”

That my friend, is the secret of the world. Not just here, but anywhere. Always has been, always will be. Yes you need to know stuff and be able to deliver, but it’s the who you know AND using those connections that matters more.

A lot of very smart folks in NJ both Labs and a few left in IT also. Big mistake if they lose these folks that I have had the pleasure to work with the past few years. Can't lose the brains then what will be left? .

This will just speed up the RTO push to Atlanta and Dallas.

NJ will be the next “hub” to disappear.

Not so, I had a co-worker sue the company and win a couple of times for breach of the contract, he wasn’t a union member. AT&T has a policy against retaliation, if it would happen another lawsuit would ensue, easy win in court after already winning one.

It used to be that if you sued the Company, you could not continue to be on the payroll, something like a conflict of interest for both management and non-management. Not sure if this has changed, but it would be awkward for the person if they continue to work.

ATT is still hiring lots of young engineers here in NJ. The entire 5th floor of MT is fresh out of school.

This isn’t surprising…

In Sambar org, VPs award the compensation awards “Connextion Awards” to the same people year after year — no regard for truly hard workers that aren’t on their VPs favorite list despite proven results… it’s bc it’s
all political…
If the company gives other (non political favorites) a chance, they would get a fresh perspective instead of the same old narrative — they may see a jump in production and overall company progress.
Until then, people are being let go for not moving to a hub location and favorites are being protected and hidden behind working remotely or in market / engineering locations” that aren’t relevant to their roles…
I think the next legal inquiries T will face is (1)why so many still have work out of hub authorization while the rest lost their jobs or get to the office as required & (2) why the same people get Connection Awards over those who made a stronger impact…

“It ain’t what you know, it’s “who likes you” personally - not professionally…

Maybe we should start inquiries to how the Connection Awards were arrived at…

And lastly, hats off to the person who had the courage to call out the inconsistency.

While the review was for one person/organization, the process should be learned and applied for all. Be sure to understand the process and use it wherever you may be…
