So many folks were complaining about RTO but I don't see any major attrition. Has there been any attrition on your teams?

In EHQ, if you come from Tue to Thu, which is the norm, you’ll have trouble find parking spots, quite often desks and having lunch is a PIA. Ask us to come back is ok, not having structure to support it is a whole different thing.
I know some teammates were told that they are getting laid off in March due to not being able to RTO. So probably won’t see much until the next few months as others mentioned.
No attrition on my team or the teams I work with, but certainly lots of grumbling (mostly about parking). Still seems as flexible as ever, but as someone already pointed out, it’s really only been the week of the 8th that we’ve been 4/1. Too soon to tell.
the offices still feel very empty fyi
Most are waiting to be laid off or find another job. Others are relocating and hoping they don’t get laid off.
I know of several people who were let go as they didn’t want to move back to Portland.
Nope, not up to any manager. It’s random based on some calculation if your position is difficult to hire for or if you have good leadership. Most don’t fall under the good leadership category. The single good c level leader in tech that believed in remote work was forced out.
I want to know where the line is. My team is supported by someone who rolls in at ten complaining about parking and books it at 2 but claims she’s WFH for the rest of the day. Is her time in the pick up line at her kids school the same as my time actually working? Is anyone actually keeping score?
@iup+1qFylqHP I am surprised. I was hired remote and was asked to relocate to WHQ and I did last month. But now I see another teammate is working remote. Is it up to manager? Now I am a little bummed and feel I should have pushed back about relocating.
Feels too soon to tell. The week of the 8th was the only real gauge. WHQ was closed M-Th of this week due to a snow and ice storm. I’m guessing the attrition will be more evident by early February.
Yes one person on my team was let go because they couldn't move
Yes. And I know many people looking.
