This is interesting, same old projects on the lists and nothing will get done again...not sure how we can continue on this path but it's been going on since 2016. I am bored but paycheck keeps coming. My boss is more interested in turf wars and managing up, so no pressure

yes, close billions tech dev $$$ wasted t went to Accenture, IBM, Amdocs, TechM, vendors and the programs are no where insight of completion with years of delays. One prime example is the Ticket to Ride program.....it's a HUGH disaster , and the clueless VPs/AVPs/Directors should be gone
Got my Vsipp papers in. Waiting for the call that they have a match for me. If it happens tomorrow I would be ok.
Historically, our "off the shelf" software investments do not pay off because we customize everything to fit our stupid processes. It will never change because there is no consistency in processes which gets into the "turf war" syndrome. Our vendors are very happy though :-)
How come every time something is “automated” it actually creates more manual work. They automate something that takes two minutes a day but it now requires 20 minutes of manual input for the automation to work.
So much tech dev money… real cash going to Accenture. Execs believe PowerPoints about Return on Investment.
We need wicked smart people developing our systems — not the array of directors with teams of people simply working business cases to get cash to give to Accenture to develop…
100s of millions $$$ of waste & no leader has a clue… as long as they keep their little turf/ piece of the pie.
I agree with O. P., less & less to do as we watch money go to India & multiple orgs claim they are needed for oversight. Typical expensive way T does business.
The company clock is ticking. It’s taking on water and they’re bailing it with Dixie cups. Cash the checks but do yourself and family a favor and get your ducks in a row and plan your next company/career. It will come crashing down when they announce the sale of large divisions of business and your part of them.
Less and less to do, with A.I. and purchasing off the shelf products ie, WorkDay, INFOR and other programs to come. Better stack the checks in an investment until you get the 2 week notice. Better to have a little boredom than unemployment, IT market isn’t well unless, you are in India
