Has anyone from the bargained side left the company before their 30? What happens with your pension

The local union in my area has a financial advisor who comes and gives talk from time to time. They also offer one on one consultations, so maybe ask your union leadership if there is someone like that. It is nice because they are free and probably a lot more familiar with your specific contract.
Nope. No one’s ever done that.
Go to Fidelity. Yes, many, bargained employees have left the company before 30 years. Many of them are doing well. Your pension is yours but you will receive a diminished amount if you draw it before 30 years of service.
If you have been with the company less than 10 years, it is up to the company to decide what they want to do with it.
Go to Fidelity and check your current value. If it doesn't show up you may need to call. The penalty cor leaving with less than 30 years is 6%/year (.5%/month). But if you are short of 30 year, are at least 55 and have hit the modified rule of 75 you won't have any pension penalties.
Whatever you want. Annuity or lump is ok. Ask Fidelity.
